CBS Colonoscopy Sweepstakes promises luxury colonoscopy

The first line of text on the website for the CBS Cares Colonoscopy Sweepstakes reassures readers that this is an actual sweepstakes.  In fact, CBS will fly one lucky winner and a companion to New York City, where they will be awarded a free celebrity style colonoscopy and  a three night stay in a luxury suite at the Loews Regency Hotel.  Deadline for entry is April 30, 2009 and readers can enter online.

The CBS Cares program was launched in 2000 for the purpose of airing public service announcements featuring CBS celebrities.  A series of hilarious PSAs were produced for the Colonoscopy Sweepstakes including one video in which Patti LuPone lashes out after her physician schedules her for a colonoscopy instead of a facial treatment.  “I said botox not buttocks!” she rants.  Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer of Two and A Half Men are also featured in several funny but informative spots.
