A big thank you to WCCO TV (CBS) and sports anchor Mark Rosen for being a part of the eighth Get Your Rear in Gear Twin Cities race on Sunday, May 20.

    Yet again, no mention of those under 50 in this ever so brief news report though their own sports reporter, whom they did mention, died of colon cancer at only 46. I’m still waiting for the message to change: even those in CCC and CCA begin every discussion of colon cancer with the same old “get screened at 50″ message. Younger people and doctors remain unaware of this as a disease that strikes young people, most often with devasting results.
