Sisters discuss the importance of being a health advocate
Get Your Rear in Gear Wichita event director J.J. Sorochty and her sister Debbie Mitchell talked with the Kansas CW Crew’s Emily about the upcoming race and and how important it is to listen to your own body when it comes to the signs and symptoms of colon cancer. The Kansas CW is a sponsor of the Wichita 5K race.
J.J. planned the first Wichita Get Your Rear in Gear in honor of her sister a Debbie, a stage IV colon cancer survivor. The pair are back for a second year, kicking off Memorial Day weekend with a race in Downtown Wichita on Sunday, May 27.
