Colon cancer awareness video makes an impact
Families of colon cancer patients and survivors are often tireless in spreading the word about the importance of colon cancer screening. The family of Jason, a young, active colon cancer survivor and subject of this YouTube video is no different. Jason was 33 years old when he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He endured surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy. He and his family urge others to know their family history, know their risks and get screened. Jason had no family history and was in no pain when he was diagnosed. Physicians told him that the cancer had been growing for years.
