Donate to the Colon Cancer Coalition on Tuesday, November 17 to earn matching funds!
Today is Give to the Max Day in Minnesota! Any funds donated to the Colon Cancer Coalition and Get Your Rear in Gear through GiveMN,org from from 8:00 a.m. on November 17, 2009 until 8:00 a.m. on November 18, 2009 will be matched by funds donated by other major non-profits. In addition, the three nonprofits that receive donations from the most individual donors will receive cash prizes: $5,000 for first prize, $2,500 for second, and $1,000 for third. This is a unique opportunity to maximize the benefit of your donation dollars to the Colon Cancer Coalition, to improve access to colon cancer screening and increase awareness of the disease in your community.
Give to the Max Day is a program created to increase giving to non profits across Minnesota and to promote online giving through GiveMN.org. The goal is to raise as much money as possible for Minnesota charities in 24 hours. The Saint Paul Foundation, Minneapolis Foundation and Bush Foundation have committed $500,000 in matching contributions to support community needs in Minnesota and to cover transaction fees so that 100% of all donations go to the nonprofit organizations.
GiveMN.org was created by The Minnesota Community Foundation and other key nonprofit leaders in Minnesota to take advantage of the many benefits offered by online giving for both donors and nonprofits. While the Give to the Max Day program runs only for 24 hours, contributions to the Colon Cancer Coalition may be made at any time through GiveMn.org
