Teddy Pendergrass dies of colon cancer

Soul singer Teddy Pendergrass passed away yesterday after a year long battle with colon cancer. The artist was best known for R & B classics such as “If You Don’t Know Me By Now, ” “Love TKO” and other hits of the 70′s and 80′s.  As the result of a car accident, Pendergrass became paralyzed in 1982, but continued to produce songs and inspire those who watched him persevere.   Pendergrass was 59 when he passed away at Bryn Mawr Hospital near Philadelphia.
