WCCO-TV lost sports broadcaster and family member Bob Rainey to colon cancer in 2008. Since that time, WCCO has honored his memory by supporting the Twin Cities Get Your Rear in Gear 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run. In a new online article, reporter Heather Brown remembers Rainey, who died at the young age of 46, and talks about the station’s support of the Colon Cancer Coalition event.
